That’s how Sadio Mane labelled talks that he is moving to Real Madrid.
The Liverpool forward said he is not worried nor affected by the hearsays as he reiterated his intention to get a new contract with the Reds.
After mane inked a long-term deal with Liverpool last November, a France Football journalist reported that there was an agreement for Mane to transfer to Madrid. But it remains just that – a rumour.
ADMIRED BY ZIDANE
Recent reports indicated that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane admires Mane and he believes they can acquire him for 140 million pounds.
In addition, Madrid reportedly made a contact with Mane, who has three years left on his current deal with Liverpool.
But the 27-year-old Senegal international also said he does not pay attention to such speculations and stressed he want to follow the moves of teammates Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in prolonging their contracts with Liverpool.
MANE’S ONLY CONCERN
“Speculation is part of football. You just learn to live with it and not to take it seriously,” he said.
He added: “My only concern is Liverpool. I’m very happy here and I think people are happy with me, too.’’
Mane has developed into a highly-effective player under Jurgen Klopp. In fact, he is a major component in Liverpool’s triumph in the Champions League last season and in their current drive for the crown in the Premier League until it was halted because of the coronavirus spread.
Before the coronavirus disease caused league matches to be postponed, Mane has already scored 14 goals, just two goals shy of Salah. Currently leading the goalscoring table is striker Jamie Vardy of Leicester City with 19 goals, followed by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal (17), Sergio Aguero of Manchester City (16) and then Salah (16) and Danny Ings of Southampton (15). Mane is tied with Marcus Rashford of Manchester United with 14 apiece.
