Tunisia booked their qualification for the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations following their dull 0-0 draw against Mauritania in Suez.
Mauritania looked comfortable in the first half by applying pressure and using their advantage in aerial duels over their opponents but they lost their composure slightly after losing captain Abdoul Ba to injury in the 17th minute.
The Eagles of Carthage could have earned the win in the final minute of the game but Youssef Msakni’s header was saved by Mauritanian goalkeeper Brahim Souleymane
The goalless draw means Mauritania finish bottom while Tunisia will claim the runners up spot in Group B behind Mali, who defeated Angola 1-0.
Tunisia will now face Group F winners Ghana for their Round of 16 clash.
