Which Premier League captain is ranked best?

Team captains provide leadership and inspiration to their respective teams.

They are influential, too, as every player needs someone who could spur them to perform well for the squad.

Perhaps, captains in the Premier League are the most-watched players when the topic on who amongst them is the best is up for the talks.

Here is the rankings (from worst to best) of every Premier League captains as of March 2020:

20. BILLY SHARP (Sheffield United) – 6.5

The 34-year-old Sharp has been used sparingly, but still scored three goals in the league, two of them in their last three matches.

19. CONOR COADY (Wolverhampton Wanderers) – 6.49

Coady remains an important figure for Wolves who have the seventh best defence in the league.

18. SIMON FRANCIS (Bournemouth) – 6.54

Francis had 10 starts this term and his team had just one clen sheet in thos fixtures.

17. SEAMUS COLEMAN (Everton) – 6.59

He has posted just one assist as he hobbles from injuries this season. He used to be one of the best attacking full-backs in the English top tier.

Noble has scored six goals as West Ham struggle in the competition.

The 80-million-pound man have provided the spark as United kept four clean sheets and conceded just once in the last five games where he featured.

He had eight goals despite being outfor 11 matches.

3. DAVID SILVA (Manchester City) – 7.15

Has made only 16 starts this term but have provided nine assists.

2. JORDAN HENDERSON (Liverpool) – 7.20

He is the current leader to win the PFA Player of the Year award.

1.JACK GREALISH (Aston Villa) – 7.33

Villa’s best player has scored 14 goals this season although his team is mired in relegation zone before matches were stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
